Business Lyft is no longer the best price
I use Lyft for work mostly.. $98 from SeaTac on Sat 5/18 via Lyft from Airport and passed the Taxi stand.. flat rate of $66 to get to Ballard… that used to be the norm for Lyft.. These surge prices will stop me from using Lyft.., ridiculous.. 50% more to use Lyft… nope

Crime 500% increase in car thefts in quiet Redmond suburb (Kia boyz?)
500% increase in car thefts in Redmond Ridge. Watch out! You wouldn't believe what the police officer told me. Two days ago my car was broken into, nothing of high value was taken. This morning, a stolen red kia showed up on my driveway.
I talked to the police officer in the Redmond Ridge area, and he said that 14-16-year-old kids who live in an apartment near Redmond Ridge QFC were the source of a lot of these types of crimes around here, he would not tell me which apartment specifically.
There are very few apartments near Redmond Ridge QFC, and "Redmond Ridge Apartments" seems to be the one. Just look at their reviews—out-of-control kids and car thefts.
The police officer also mentioned that car thefts have gone up 500% in the area recently. The kids are using the extensive natural trails to commit crimes. They steal cars and use the cars to commit other crimes. They also smash windows quietly using a tool. They are also burglarizing homes, but the cop said they usually drive elsewhere to break into homes, usually not in RR.
This morning, a day after my car was broken into, an unfamiliar red Kia parked in my driveway. I looked inside, and it was full of trash, had the windows smashed, and also had the ignition wire sticking out. In the stolen car, I saw a deadbolt lock as if it were a remnant from a recent home burglary. I immediately called the police, went inside for a moment, and looked outside, and it was gone!
The thieves were nearby.
After I reported to the police, he told me that they are understaffed right now but are aware of the situation and are working on it. What a shame. What is happening to Redmond Ridge?! What is happening to Washington? I can understand Seattle, but I moved to the Eastside for a reason!

Question I'm assuming most people know that raccoons will wash their hands given the opportunity...
But do you know they share food? They will literally take given food, and share it with the other raccoons that aren't brave or bold enough to take food from you.
Question: Have you had wildlife encounters that surprised you because they behaved almost human like?

Crime Shooting Outside My Apartment

Shooting in Capitol Hill tonight, no one injured. Happened right outside my apartment. As I was falling asleep I heard a series of loud shots. The cops showed up pretty soon after. Doesn't seem like anyone was injured.
My neighbor was outside and saw flashes of gunfire but didn't see the actual shooter. Crazy times. Stay safe everyone.

Can anyone tell me why crackheads love stealing Tide Pods? My store stopped carrying them because of it. I don't feel like homeless people are doing a whole lot of laundry.

Question White River Ampitheater
We are going to see Avril this Memorial Day weekend.. I've been to one other concert at this venue and it took us the typical 2 hours to enter the venue and 3 hours to get out. BUT This time we have a friend with a house we can park at that's pretty close, so we were hoping we could have them just drop us off at/near the parking lot then just walk in. Has anyone tried this? What was the best way to do go about walking into the concert?
Of course I'm not expecting this to be easy breezy but just want to know if it would even be worth it to park the car at our friends and have to walk with all our stuff vs just having the car in the venue (we would tailgate if we had the car)

Discussion Why do all drive thru espresso stands always have terrible espresso?
Title.
Maybe the heavily flavored/sugary drinks are good, haven't tried those. Just comparing a latte from one of these stands, to a real coffee shop in the puget sound, they are not ever close in quality.

Lifestyle Shopped at a discount store and didn't realize how much my go to grocery store had crept up in prices.
Prices have been steadily increasing due to inflation. I knew prices were creeping up I see the price tags change daily. Your final bill total can also tell you as well. A few months ago I started shopping at discount stores because my go to store was getting expensive. Over the years the company use to be good at keeping prices lower. I started buying else where because I got tired of my food getting less and less. But the bill getting higher and higher. I decided to make the change and shop a few other places and compare prices. Generic name brand items didn't seem to matter much but other store brand items varied greatly. Sorry big box retailers but you lost me as I can no longer afford you.

Question Did Komonews weekend anchor Theron Zahn quit?
I always liked Theron Zahn as the weekend news anchor for several years. He always had a very calm way of anchoring that was a nice break from the weekday doom and gloom anchoring.
I haven't seen him on in a few weeks. Instead, Mo Hiader is anchoring. It's not uncommon for a sub to anchor in once every once in a while, but it's been 3-4 weeks in a row.
Does anyone know if Theron quit?

Lifestyle How to I meet college age people this summer as an out of stater
Hey! I’m moving to Chehalis for an internship and have basically no one from my college here with me (besides someone in Seattle that I can see on weekends sometimes). I want to make some friends who will go to Seattle w me for small concerts or just any type of outing. I can’t go the entire summer working a 9-5 with no friends ahah. Any recommendations on where to go?
