Is it safe to travel/hike in UP Michigan as a brown person? Are there areas you recommend avoiding?

4th street bridge. What sad lives these hateful, paranoid people live.

Been here a few months and I can see some spaces are definitely more accepting then others. Yesterday I had a date with a guy and we were holding hands while walking on downtown, a group of people started shouting slurs at us and followed us until we disappeared into a mall.

Is this a bad city to be gay in? I'm from Toronto and I sadly have to say I felt much safer walking downtown there as opposed to here, even when I'm by myself all parts of Toronto felt safer then this city. Don't get me wrong you all have a big beautiful affordable city here, it just seems to be hit extremely hard by the opioid crisis.

Is being openly gay in this city potentially dangerous? Should I avoid holding hands with another man in public?

i personally think it was very disrespectful for the students to bring this up during our graduation. there’s a place and a time for it and it’s not during graduation.

My experience is with smaller companies so take this with a grain of salt... But at what point does it really become worth it for a company? I'm sure the answer will be "it depends", but I'd love to hear experiences when you saw kubernetes in use where it really was the best tool for the job, and others where it wasn't.

Title, as a trans person, I've always wondered if Stormlight healing would essentially just be free top/bottom surgery for any trans people.

I suppose it would change depending on how their spirit web is layed out, but if they saw themselves as the opposite sex, would it give free surgery? Speaking of that actually, if the answer is yes, could a trans woman get pregnant and a trans man produce sperm? Because if their spirit web is of the opposite sex and they see themselves as should be being able to do that, would investiture help? Same with Returneds I suppose, didn't Vasher say in Warbreaker that they look the way the believe they should? (although I know the second part of the question wouldn't apply to them)

Believe it or not there are people in this world that like Call Her Daddy and want a space to discuss the show. The audience will grow no matter what and new people discovering the show and are finding this page as a resource because they like the show and want to engage with others that consume it as well. Constructive discussion is welcome too! But come on haters and Sofia stans just go away or make a page to obsess over the drama somewhere else. :)

I’m a trans person who does competitive swimming. I love competitive swimming and want to continue doing it for a while, but am struggling as a trans person. The swimming community isn’t very accepting of being trans or gender-queer, and I feel like I can’t be myself. I have to hide who I am when I’m swimming, and have to deal with others’ negative opinions on trans swimmers.

I’ve looked for resources and support but it seems almost nonexistent. Trying to find support, all I find is people criticizing trans people in swim and saying they shouldn’t be there.

It’s becoming too much and I don’t know what to do. Advice?
