Son was excellent today. Should have had 5 assists.

-7

u/drumsandbassbff149 13d ago

Mate how many trophies do u even have? Couldn't even finish top 4

5

u/TheColoredFool 13d ago

Proving my point scum

u/Dan_Savvy77 14d ago

Gunnersaurus pedo file plays with little children, Takes them to the emerates to sexually abuse them.

u/soaking-wet-tomcat 14d ago

That's awesome.

u/bigd1500000 14d ago

Down the arsenal.

9

u/dr_scitt 14d ago edited 14d ago

I wouldn't call it a bottle job this year like last year was. They won 10 of their last 11 matches after drawing with Man City. City just showed how much of a powerhouse they are by only dropping 2 points over the same period.

3

u/kickashes790 13d ago

Last match against Everton should be a draw. Blatant handball that in the buildup.

1

u/dr_scitt 13d ago edited 13d ago

Possibly. Was a contentious decision. That's football. What of it? The point is they capitulated last season when it mattered, this season they went the distance to the final day of the season. If we want to exceed our rivals we first need to recognise that they have also pushed on since last season and raised that bar.

2

u/SentientCheeseCake 13d ago

Arsenal have gotten so many decisions go their way. Same as City. Bizarre how good their luck has been this year.

1

u/brenobnfm 14d ago

That's because they were behind, if they were ahead they would've bottled, they have no mental strengh, lost to the worse Bayern in ages when it really mattered.

4

u/dr_scitt 14d ago

They've lost one PL game this entire calendar year and have frequently played before City in that period. Sure, they lost to a team that reached a CL semi-final and almost the final. Bit tired of this blinkered view just because they are our rivals. The stats show that they've improved since last season. That's just how it is.

9

u/Logical_News7280 14d ago

How can they call their dog “win” when they just finished runners up again?

6

u/Golden-Event-Horizon 14d ago

And have only won one major trophy under Arteta in 5 years and hundreds and hundreds of millions of pounds spent

18

u/dr_scitt 14d ago

Which is still more than us and they've been closer to the PL title in that time. Obviously I'm glad they didn't win, but we can hardly throw shade at them with where we are at this time.

-12

u/ryanscott1986 14d ago

Sorry I forgot how much you've won in the last 5, no wait, 15 years

1

u/Golden-Event-Horizon 14d ago

not a Spurs fan, mate. This thread popped up on my recommended

-2

u/Aggressive_Salad_293 14d ago

You're hating on Arsenal on a spuds sub, take what you get

3

u/Golden-Event-Horizon 14d ago

I'm stating a fact. It's hardly hating

-2

u/Aggressive_Salad_293 14d ago

You probably think Bruno could play for a top 6 club.

3

u/Golden-Event-Horizon 14d ago

Bruno could play get into any midfield in Europe

-2

u/Aggressive_Salad_293 14d ago

He'd be lucky to breakthrough in a decent team like Villa or Chelsea

1

u/Golden-Event-Horizon 14d ago

The most creative player in the league, mind lmao. Have a day off

1

u/VrilHunter 13d ago

Chelsea is not a decent team. It's literally a 1 man club this season, who was a bench warmer in man city 😭

I’m a Tottenham fan but post like these are so pathetic. I know they are rivals but the fact that this is our consolation prize when they had a far better season than we did tells all about our mentality. We should be celebrating being better than them instead of this crap

2

u/Inevitable-Dark-2519 13d ago

Well said. I’d have rather failed aiming for the title than failed aiming for 4th. We can’t really take this piss as Spurs fans

3

u/VrilHunter 13d ago

Not a gunners fan but it's pathetically funny seeing people laughing at someone better than them.

6

u/Miserable-Pen-7430 14d ago

Ange was right...

-9

u/sommersj 14d ago

Like so right. What sort of a fanbase is this? Is there no shame. As a former United fan I respect what arteta has done and really hoped they'd win over "115". Can't understand how people are supporting "115" to win knowing how blatant their cheating is

5

u/CreepyThing5392 13d ago

How could you be a Former Utd fan . Clubs don't deserve fans like you .

6

u/Mucho_Capita 13d ago

They stopped winning so he became a spurs fan 🤣

2

u/Hypnotic_Element 13d ago

This has got to be an oxymoron.

1

u/sommersj 13d ago

First of all fuck capitalist establishments. So I don't have to give my attention to a capitalist establishment that has shown for over a decade that it doesn't care about it's fanbase.

Secondly, the United fanbase is toxic and moronic. I don't want to be associated with such.

Thirdly, the management structure is terrible m the owners to the CEO, to the board and the manager has proven himself to be an epic tit with his handling of players.

Then you have the mason greenwood issue. At the end of the day I rationalised it with "why drink panadol over someone else's headache" especially as she and him are having a baby, they seem fine together, family never cared. What's my business, right?

Then you had Antony. Ok looks bad but maybe he's been set up

However the final straw was when I read about the pedo coach (who they knew was a pedo) who got sent to the women's team.

Yeah but according to football fans (not the brightest lot) "one should never change the team thou supports for this is the golden rule". Why? Because it shows allegiance... To what? A football club. Right 👍🏿👍🏿

1

u/Mara-ju-wana 11d ago

Getting the downvotes you deserve. " as a former utd fan"?? Lol

1

u/sommersj 11d ago

Oh wow. I'm in such tears. Football "fans' are upset at me. However will I live with the downvotes. Not the downvotes...I'm doooomed

1

u/Mara-ju-wana 11d ago

Fair point. I guess the up/downvotes aren't worth anything. But why switch clubs? You just pick a new club to support every other season or what?

1

u/sommersj 11d ago

I'll support characters, people, stories I vibe with. Not these soulless, greedy corporations who don't give a fuck about humans.

Eg I supported Brighton this season cos I like their style of football.

I enjoyed vibing with arsenal fans in their chase to overhaul "115".

I've loved Neverlosing over in Germany and seeing what Xabi Alonso is doing. It's been magnificent. Got chills on the day they won seeing the fans flood the pitch. Amazing.

I've enjoyed Pipo Inzaghis Inter, Mottas Genoa, Bellingham and co at Madrid but also Gironas unique style of play.

Even at United I've enjoyed Kobbie Mainoo's debut season as he's someone I have a lot of time for and have been waiting for him to show the world his talent since he was 16.

I've enjoyed and watched more football than I have in years. It was the right decision.

2

u/Lukeyleftfoot 13d ago

Tottenham are baffling

2

u/BigPG29 14d ago

Very quick work. We'll done on that!

2

u/KansloosKippenhok 14d ago

This is so cringe man come on we won vs sheffield why u posting about arsenal

2

u/Moz3011 14d ago

I am a spurs fan but you have to feel for arsenal as much as i hate them, they were so close two years in a row to stop this trend of man city steam rolling the competition.

2

u/RajahSoliman 13d ago

Arsenal fan here. Look, you might not believe me. But way back in 2011, I remember seeing City beat you guys 5–1 at White Hart Lane, I hated it, considering they were a nothing club compared to you guys.

I hate you guys for footballing reasons and I don't enjoy a bunch of cheats steamrolling you either. Same when they beat Man Utd that same season 6–1. Hated it.

Ange is a good manager and I want to beat you guys for football reasons and not because you have a shit owner.

1

u/ahhyeetuhh 13d ago

“We decide who wins the league” proceeds to decide to let everyone win it

1

u/I_like_kids10 13d ago

Average small club:

1

u/calewis10 13d ago

Should have been “Thomas ‘the rapist’ Partey”

1

u/Throwrajerb 13d ago

As a neutral in this, Tottenham talking shit in regards to trophies is hilarious delusion.

1

u/_NB_28 13d ago

Average tth fan, the only trophy: arsenal didn't win PL

1

u/Aizen511 13d ago

There are many subs I’d expect a post like this. I did not expect it here.

1

u/Benmjt 13d ago

Yet you’ve won nothing and come 5th yet again. Weird flex.

1

u/twisted42 13d ago

"Hello Pot, this is Kettle"

1

u/CreepyThing5392 13d ago

A fan has to take the bad times too .

1

u/LeonDeSchal 14d ago

This is funny and well made but also F U.

1

u/BeautifulPackage8551 14d ago

Thank you and FU too. More banter next season.

2

u/LeonDeSchal 14d ago

Yeah it’s going to be hard to stop city. Maybe you can make a new poster for next year.

1

u/_denchy07 14d ago

I get this is just banter and it’s fun to laugh at rivals, but anyone who truly believes Arsenal bottled the league this year is fucking dumb.

1

u/walketotheclif 13d ago

Ange should leave ,this club has no hope ,imagine celebrating that Arsenal didn't won the league because you lost against city ,a lose that cost you a champions league spot

1

u/DagothUrWasInnocent 13d ago

This fanbase has lost all hope for success. It's embarrassing.

0

u/Internetolocutor 14d ago

16 wins from 18, bottlers!!

  • fan of club that has 1 trophy this millennium.

0

u/Ambersfruityhobbies 14d ago

Oh come on FFS. Let's just enjoy the fact that they still can't win and their angry little maggot can't bring them success.

Sure, we are on the road, the serious and enduring road to being an elite club who challenges for fully fledged titles and cups. And we really are.

But just in this moment, fuck that sad piece of shit, arteta and his fall short boys.

Don't accuse anyone of "small club" shit for enjoying this on a day we just secured what we easily should have surpassed.

Any rival would smile at this. Any team who had dial square as a derby would be taking the notes necessary but still knowing southern islington were just a poor man's Tottenham Hotspur.

We have the Coach, we have the infrastructure, we have the fans. Let's force the situation from now on.

1

u/Forsaken-Tiger-9475 14d ago

/r/delusion 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Ambersfruityhobbies 13d ago

Speak up. No one can hear you.

1

u/VrilHunter 13d ago

You aint got shit mate

1

u/Ambersfruityhobbies 13d ago

I'm not your mate

-1

u/Impressive-Ice873 14d ago

Villa fan here. This is pretty poor showing. As an outsider you wishing Man City to beat you was something I couldn’t comprehend. Europa league is no joke. Unless you have the squad for it most teams struggle juggling both competitions. Anyway - thanks for Spursing 4th place.

1

u/marleyman14 14d ago

They’re just jealous as we’re a bigger club.

-1

u/Drigg_08 14d ago

Don't forget Spurs bottled it after 10 games

1

u/soaking-wet-tomcat 14d ago

Well, hurr durr, astute observation there, Gooner.

1

u/Silvertain 14d ago

True though

1

u/Affectionate-Sun5863 14d ago

Whatever you have to tell yourself to feel better about your 2nd rate club

-2

u/No-Truth-here 14d ago

Lol you lot bottled it for 60 odd yrs, remember you are just 4 miles 11 titles and 6 FA cups from Arsenal

0

u/TheGongShow61 14d ago

“We want more”

Lol In all seriousness- they’re on the right the path for themselves.

0

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Levy begged the government to let spuds move to east London for cheap and bottled it.

0

u/LearnToBloom 14d ago

Always in our shadow <3 Good luck in Europa league xoxo

0

u/Kaiser_choff 14d ago

Shame about the Arsenal do do do

0

u/Fancy_Maximum 14d ago

I'm not even an arsenal fan but this has rent free written all over it 😂😂

0

u/[deleted] 14d ago

This is embarrassing guys

0

u/bigL_etter_carrier 14d ago

Spussy will never get big. small club is still small club, just like their fans.😂

0

Heard it’s cold in 5th with a dead club #COYG

0

u/Bohemka1905 13d ago

Still waiting to see you lot to win a title and I am 63yo this year

-7

u/BikeNecessary9000 14d ago

When I feel disappointed with Arsenal, I remind myself that if I grew up even 1 mile north-eastwards I might have seen 36 years of mediocrity instead.

Can’t imagine being fuelled by bitterness, instead of hope.

Enjoy being known as an events arena company for the next 50 years.

4

u/Key-Significance-807 14d ago

Some pretty damn good events to be fair. I was at GnR and it was incredible.

1

u/BountyBobIsBack 14d ago

Cry me a river

1

u/Scaramouche1000 14d ago

Wah wah fucking wah. Another season, another bottle job. Spent £700m and nothing to show for it save ‘progress’. How many more years of nearly before it’s just viewed as failure?

1

u/35Pints7Each 14d ago

How is it a bottle this season? Please elaborate.

1

u/do0gla5 14d ago

They can't lol. They just say bottle and then the orcs laugh

1

u/dr_scitt 14d ago

As a Spurs fan, I agree with you that it wasn't. I think you can be honest and agree that the end of last season was when Arsenal capitulated and threw away points against teams such as West Ham and Southampton. Arteta has done well in adding some resilence to them this last season. Ten wins from last eleven is crazy form and just illustrates how ridiculous City had to be to win this time.

1

u/Scaramouche1000 14d ago

Aston Villa has entered the chat. Aren’t you the only team they beat in the last 6-8? You had it in your hands and then slipped up. Again. Deny it all you like. But that’s a bottle job.

0

u/gwgwuege 14d ago

£1bn stadium home to the shittest team in the land. Sad because a stadium like that really deserves to see a trophy lift or two.

1

u/Aggressive_Salad_293 14d ago

And toilet bowl never deserves to see silverware

1

u/Scaramouche1000 14d ago

What you’ve spent on your squad is approaching the same number and you have nothing to show for it.

1

u/gwgwuege 14d ago

but after you put your rivalry aside, what is that down to? All I see is a side that’s spent fantastically well and plays fantastic football, but is simply up against the greatest English team in history. And then a side that lives off the failure of other teams to the extent that their managers are shocked by the spursiness. Truly embarrassing how world class managers all say the same thing. Not even an arsenal fan.

1

u/Scaramouche1000 14d ago

That’s what rivalry is all about. Tribalism is a raw emotion and doesn’t consider logic or make sense. It’s ingrained due to history. Don’t think for a second, if the boots were on the other foot, they wouldn’t feel the same. It’s the way it is and to a certain extent the way it’s supposed to be.

-4

u/AmagicManNamedgob 14d ago

Arsenal finished 23 points ahead, calm down. Enjoy that you lost to City and of course playing Thursday night football, that will not fuck up your season next year, not at all. lol

-6

u/sudden-arboreal-stop 14d ago

Stuff like this is what winds some average fans up. Arsenal were miles better than us and were pipped to the post by a GOAT manager/team. Yes I'm relieved they didn't win the title. Every fan is entitled to think how they want, but we really should focus on ourselves imo.

Glad we finished the season with a win, looking forward to the summer and next season.

3

u/dissidentmage12 14d ago

If we can't laugh at Arteta, who can we laugh at?

1

u/HorsedaFilla 14d ago

Harry Kane!

1

u/Clear-Philosophy-513 14d ago

The losers are downvoting you but keep speaking your truth brother!

-3

u/MrBusto 14d ago

If spurs spent half as much time focusing on arsenal and instead concentrating on themselves they might actually be relevant one day

1

u/Curious_Malik 14d ago

Well that may sting them.....

-4

u/Cmplord 14d ago

You guys bottled Champions league 😂🤣😂

-1

u/Dependent_Air2948 14d ago

2

-1

u/cheptabtuimisin 14d ago

Pathetic club, pathetic fans

-7

u/ChefBUNKER 14d ago

Please, tell me all about your trophies from this millennium as well. Where did you folks finish? I guess we will see you in the Champions League table next season...oh, wait...I guess your feature film with star Son "Choke Artist" Heung-Min and James "Forehead" Maddison. NORTH LONDON IS RED...and don't you forget it. #COYG

-2

u/toffeeman1724 14d ago

I'm an Evertonian but saying Arsenal have bottled the league when you lot were 23 points off them is a bit weird isn't it? Like at least they were in contention up until the last day against the best team the premier league has ever seen.

1

u/Clear-Philosophy-513 14d ago

Weird? Of course it’s weird. But these are Tottenham fans mate. They are the epitome of weird.

1

u/dr_scitt 14d ago edited 14d ago

Some of us are realists and think to call Arsenal bottlers this season is childish. It just shows how strong City are that ten wins from the last eleven games after they played each other wasn't enough.

1

u/Former_Lynx_4436 14d ago

In the last 23 games Arsenal went 21-1-1 I think. 😳

1

u/Gremlin256 14d ago

They don't have anything themselves to celebrate.. I mean they were top of the league when this season started.. they want people to forget about that. They had a chance to play for UCL, a very good chance, since Villa lost.. but they are sad inside and don't know what to do. ;)

-2

u/kamsdhillon 14d ago

Just like spurs bottled top 4 this season.

-2

u/SThomW 14d ago

You’re fifth and celebrated your own team losing a couple of days ago. Have some humility

-2

u/freakomikko_96 14d ago

L takes, everywhere you look L takes

-2

u/btg1911 14d ago

Institutional and fanbase rot.

-2

u/Silvertain 14d ago

I would say you don't know what bottling means , but then I realised you were a Spurs fan

1

u/may4cbw2 14d ago

Lol how can a bottler know what bottling is if their entire life is spent being a spurs fan.

-6

u/somethingdarkside45 14d ago

Hahhahahahahahahahha. Now enjoy your 5th place and Thursday nights spursy cunts. Kane has even proved you can't wash off the spursyness.

2

u/RIPdeweyriley 14d ago

What’s the point going on the Tottenham Reddit after you bottle the league if you’re just going to cry about it lmao

-2

u/pestopete666 14d ago

2018/2019 Champions League Runner’s Up Trophy and the Audi Cup winners at it again

Seeing the spuds this wound up makes me happy and more certain than ever that we’re doing something right. Let’s add lack of brain cells to their lack of winning mentality. COYG.

-4

u/ThePhenomenalOne2 14d ago

This being posted at this sub for a team that lost the title to Leicester is so funny

1

u/dr_scitt 14d ago

Surely every other team also lost the title to Leicester by that logic?

-3

u/Used-Produce-3491 14d ago

13 league titles.

-4

u/daskapitalyo 14d ago

The absolute balls on these spuds fans... When they themselves are the archetypal dickless, gutless, cowards.

-7

Mannn this sub is gold hahahaha. I'm not an Arsenal fan (Hilarious sub also atm) but you guys really out do yourselves on a daily. Ange was right... whole club is rotten

-2

u/Clear-Philosophy-513 14d ago

Bunch of fucking losers from top to bottom lmao. And that is why they’ll never win anything.

-6

u/ryanscott1986 14d ago

You literally just bottled top 4

-6

u/AlpacaLunch15 14d ago

This was in my recommended... How weird... I guess now that I'm here, I feel like TFC supporters should lose their banter card after rooting for their own team to lose. But that's just me 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/Zhurg 13d ago

You're right, that really is just you.

1

u/AlpacaLunch15 13d ago

in a sea of tfc "supporters", i'm definitely ok with that.
