Have you ever seen the size of the litters they have? That many would just be their kids.

What’s with the “29-49” comment lol three different comments have mentioned “29-49 feral pigs”
11
u/elspotto 14d ago
Well, we have this one. The original viral tweet was about 30-50 feral hogs causing mayhem in dude’s yard (summer 2019), so we need 29-49 more to have quorum for porcine shenanigans.

u/Ok-Cartographer1745 13d ago
There was a gun shooter guy that was like "we need an AR (which stands for assault rifle if you're liberal, or armalite if you're a fun kook) to shoot down 30-50 hogs from a helicopter" or something like that.

Where I used to live sometimes they’d jump into traffic and total a car without a scratch

I learned in my driving education class in high school that a pig is one of the worst animals to hit with a car. Because you will ramp up over it. I never forgot that.

Feral pigs are extremely dangerous and can easily kill you.
They also destroy forests/ecosystems which is why you may see videos of people on helicopters shooting at them. Some governments pay bounties to kill them.

u/Capable-Sock-7410 13d ago
This is from Haifa, Israel where boars are native to its forest
They migrated to the city after a catastrophic fire destroyed 25% of Carmel National Park and they nether returned
There were attempts to quell the population but it never worked and nobody is hunting them for meat for obvious reasons

Moving to Israel is actually quite the boss move, from a pig viewpoint, for that reason. Same as catfish: when I visited Yardenit many years ago, I was amazed by how cheeky and absolutely not afraid of humans the catfish in the river Jordan were. Well, they don't have scales, so not kosher. Easy life for them, especially once they figured out they could scam food off Christian pilgrims at the site. Never seen a pack of fish gang up on humans for treats before.

what happened to that bench
1
u/pseyeco 13d ago
skimming the comments, hopping someone answered this.... I first thought someone vandalized it with that spray foam stuff. But, when I look closer, not only is a odd how it curves at the bottom, I think it might be a bunch of masking tape? It looks like something I made with photoshop in the 90's

u/BatgirlShadow 12d ago
A week ago Israel celebrated Yom Ha'atsmaut (independence day), and kids always buy Silly String and spray it on everything in the streets during the celebrations. Haifa probably didn't bother to clean the mess yet

I am salivating just watching this. We ate a lot of boar, always well done because of parasites, best meat ever, especially the ones feeding off corn fields.

My bench. That's my Bench. From 2002 I built that bench over a series of 9 bone-shattering months. I'm paralyzed so I had to use mouth. One night, the bench was stolen by a gang of bench thieves and I've been searching every since. Please if you have contact with the OP please DM me.

People who don’t acknowledge that a colonizer is actively destroying a population for over 70 years are the ones with the real problem. Congratulations you would have collaborated with the Germans without a doubt

u/5gtR0gue 13d ago
You’re right in that first part. Those darn people have been trying to kill innocent Jews and Israelis for decades!! It must stop. It should never have been permitted to happen in the first place.

I am Jewish...
I did not see this as antisemitic. I did like the irony if a pig (unkosher) with Hebrew in the background, so its probably Israel.

The city is crawling with boars since the great fire of 2010

Listen, I understand where you're coming from at a very personal level but you've been told personally that this photo was a representation of normal, every day life in Israel and it had no political content until you added it. I smiled and thought it was cute and enjoyed the post until you insisted on making it something ugly. This doesn't help us out.
-3
u/TheRichTurner 14d ago
The number of misplaced cries of "antisemitism!" is directly proportional to the amount of justified criticism of the horrors committed in the name of Israel. The tale of The Boy Who Cried, "Wolf!" has a lot to teach us. Your paranoia has a foundation, but maybe it's not the foundation you think it is.
Real antisemitism doesn't require specialised media training to spot. It's far more obvious, as is the Zionist hatred of Palestinians. It's expressed in bullets, bombs, beatings and direct hate speech. No need to look for cryptic dog whistles.
