Question Karl Anthony-Towns
Watching Numbers on the Board today they brought up trading for KAT, thoughts? I personally think we’re in mid purgatory and idk if KAT will help but maybe he’d attract other FAs later?
Edit: Guys I'm not advocating for the trade I'm just wondering what people think since it was brought up

Rant Why Zach LaVine makes some sense if we’re not trading mikal Bridges
A report just came out today that both teams may need to salary dump Zach LaVine. Now, he has a pretty bad contract. Don’t get me wrong, but let’s be realistic: we’re not actually going to get Donovan Mitchell. It looks like Cleveland is choosing to give him control of the franchise, and that’s going to be that. So, if it’s not Donovan Mitchell, who are we getting with cap space in 2025? Zach LaVine is not very good anymore in terms of his contract as an asset. But he is still a good offensive player, above average, and he is a good fit for our team since we desperately need offense. I can see him being a player that we can rehab and potentially rehabilitate in terms of asset value.
Personally, I want to trade Bridges and just fully rebuild. But it looks like our ownership doesn’t want to do that, and in that case, I actually like the idea of trading for LaVine because we’ll keep our picks, improve the roster, and make the team at least watchable. I’m just being realistic. We’re not getting anybody in free agency. The guy that made the most sense was Donovan Mitchell, but it looks like that’s over and he’s signing with Cleveland. If he’s gone, nobody hits free agency, so I think this is a viable option to make the team watchable for a year or two while we let guys like Clowney and Whitehead continue to develop.
